Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful experience at Casa Colonial, with its beautiful colonial architecture and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, though a bit noisy at times due to their layout. The breakfast was excellent and served in a lovely rooftop setting. The location is perfect for exploring Mindelo, but the noise from the courtyard could be a drawback for light sleepers.
This hotel captures the essence of colonial charm with its beautifully restored Portuguese architecture and inviting atmosphere. The owners, Sue and Robbie, truly made our stay memorable with their warm hospitality and insightful recommendations for exploring Mindelo. The location is excellent for discovering the city on foot, although the service from some staff could be more approachable. Overall, an enjoyable experience filled with character and charm, but it could benefit from more attentive service in certain areas.
My stay at Casa Colonial was a truly enjoyable experience, characterized by its charming ambiance and welcoming owners. The beautiful colonial-style house added a unique touch to our journey in Mindelo. However, some aspects like the small bathroom and noise levels due to the internal courtyard could be improved. Overall, it was a lovely place but not ideal for extended stays.
My stay at Casa Colonial was a delightful experience, offering a charming blend of comfort and authenticity in a beautifully renovated old building. The warm hospitality from Samira and her team truly made me feel at home, while the breakfasts on the terrace provided a lovely start to my days. However, the town felt a bit quiet without events, and the room lights occasionally flickered out, which was slightly inconvenient.
Staying at Casa Colonial was a delightful experience with its charming period building and great central location. My room was comfortable and airy, which made my stay enjoyable overall. However, some aspects like the pool cleanliness and a few noisy disturbances detracted from the experience. The breakfast could also be improved with more variety, but the private bathrooms and cozy ambiance make it a decent place to unwind.
